WELCOME BULLDOGS

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

“To whom much is given, much is required”. I am humbled to serve as the President of the historic and trailblazing Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware Chapter of our beloved Alma Mater. I stand ready to serve our “Dear Old WU” with each of you. As a chapter we have achieved amazing things. I’d like to build upon our chapter legacy of accomplishment and leadership. We can do that by evaluating, accelerating and elevating.  Let’s Evaluate – our existing chapter initiatives and ensure that we are implementing program initiatives that meet the current needs of our communities.  Let’s Accelerate – our alumni retention and reclamation efforts with a dual purpose of creating a culture of inclusiveness.  Let’s Elevate – by expanding our community service, health & well-being and social action footprints.

There is no limit to what we can accomplish!

We are “The First and The Future” and our time is now! This is our moment to define what being a Bulldog really means. At a time when the relevancy and impact of HBCUs is without question, it’s critical that fellow ALUM engage, work together, and give back to our

"Dear Old WU" to keep Wilberforce’s legacy strong for generations to come.

Engaging as an ALUM means joining a local alumni chapter, mentoring a current/future Bulldog student, donating regularly and setting up a Wilberforce recruiting pipeline within your networks. I just ask that we all commit to do something to further the mission and impact of Wilberforce University and the Alumni Association. I am excited to celebrate our accomplishments along the way!

Let’s continue to work together, it’s a feat that requires a commitment and effort from all of us and one that I’m confident we can accomplish! Fellow ALUM, I’d like to leave you with a final thought, “Never underestimate the valuable and important difference you make in every life you touch, for the impact you make today has a powerful and rippling effect on every tomorrow”.
